Tandem kiting also known as tandem kiteboarding or tandem kitesurfing is the evolution of our sport! We will look back on kiting and wonder to ourselves why didn't we start doing tandems sooner. Skydiving and paragliding were both originally solo activities, but as their sports evolved so too did their way of thinking and teaching. Skydivers and paragliders alike soon figured that it would be a lot safer to instruct students by having a professional pilot at the helm of a larger and more reinforced canopy to accomodate two people (The pilot and the passenger). Kiting (the newest of the sports) followed in their path around 2013. Tamatoa Gillot opened the doors wide open when he went live with his inspirational tandem kiting video, "Tandem Kitesurfing - Double Pleasure - Kitesurf"

Tandem kiting makes students learn the sport quicker because you have a professional pilot with you the entire time whom can provide hands-on, immediate, informative, and useful feedback to safely progress your kiting.

Would you jump out of an airplane or run off a cliff without anyone attached to you if it's your first time? If your buddies called you tonight and wanted you to go skydiving tomorrow morning, would you say, "Hey, I'm going solo!"? Probably not. If your Aunt Susan called you and asked to take you paragliding in the afternoon, would you say, "Hey, I'm going to run off that 5000ft vertical cliff by myself"? Probably not. So why would you go kiting by yourself when you now have the opportunity of experiencing it tandem?

We Offer Tandem Kiting With 2 Styles Of Boards

Bi-Directional Kiteboards
(a normal twintip kiteboard) - best suited for riders that want to keep kiting to its roots. This is what we know and do best, and we can keep it mellow or make it extreme as you want it to be! You're the boss!

(a kiteboard that uses a foil to lift the board above the water) - best suited for adventure-seekers or kiteboarders that want to learn to foil. Foiling is inherently more extreme and innovative than normal kiting, so be ready for some wipeouts!

What should I expect?
If you’ve never kiteboarded before than this will be your first chance to feel the raw power of a kite. You'll just be along for the ride until you're ready to start flying the kite with the assistance of your instructor (pilot). Your pilot will be attached directly behind you (similar to going tandem skydiving or tandem paragliding), and he will have 100% control of the kite. Your feet will be situated in the center two straps (if you're on the normal twintip kiteboard), or you will keep your feet on the center part of the foilboard (situated between your instructor's feet). You will also be briefed prior to entering the water on what you need to do to make your experience safe and enjoyable.

Kiting Requirements: Every student/passenger must be comfortable in the water, and you must be able to swim. We will not go out further than you are willing and able to swim!

Age Requirements: 12 years old to 80. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present at the start of the lesson to sign waivers for their dependent. Also, we can teach children under the age of 12 or adults over the age of 80, but this will be decided by a case-by-case basis.

Weight Requirements: Must weigh 150lbs or less due to gear limitations

When: 7 days a week from noon until 3pm and when the wind is more than 15 mph. The first tandem lesson of the day will commence at noon and the last tandem lesson will be at 3pm.

Wind Requirements: To make your tandem experience fun, safe, and conducive to learning, we will need at least 15mph of wind. If the wind is less than 15mph, your tandem lesson will need to be rescheduled or refunded.
